The award-winning PBS series Heritage: Civilization and the Jews, hosted by distinguished statesman Abba Eban, is now the centerpiece of an innovative, interactive DVD-ROM, which contains on a single disk all nine hours of the original series and more than 100 multimedia presentations, an interactive atlas with 500+ maps, an interactive timeline, 650 historical documents, and more than 3,600 encyclopedia articles.

This comprehensive Jewish history course, utilizing the extensive multimedia resources of the Heritage DVD-ROM, was developed at Lehrhaus Judaica in Berkeley and taught at institutions throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. It is appropriate for college as well as committed adult education students.

The curriculum includes bookmarks to DVD-ROM segments and readings for college courses.
