Growing-Up
Stories:
Coming of Age in the Media and in Literature
Curatorial and research services provided
by the Jewish Museum.
Growing-Up Stories visits the important precipice between
adolescence and adulthood, a time of discovery and transformation.
Based mostly on novels and plays by important modern Jewish writers
like Herman Wouk and Chaim Potok, the films explore the struggle
of young Jews to establish their own identity and the ways in which
traditional values are interpreted by succeeding generations.
