included with the
Jewish Heritage Video Collection
The JHVC includes everything required to successfully
set up and run a video lending program and full course curricula.
The JHVC was designed to be easily adaptable to a wide range of
situations, with extensive documentation guiding administrators
through every aspect of managing the collection.
Each
JHVC delivery includes:
Video Library of nearly 200 films
and television programs, along with specially designed display and
storage units for the videocassettes, and all the materials necessary
for renting videos. In addition to the core
collection that sites receive as part of the JHVC, "bonus
packs" are periodically offered for purchase to update
and supplement the video library.

Manual for Library Administrators:
A comprehensive guide to the day-to-day operation of the JHVC library.
Manual for Course Leaders: Guide
on conducting JHVC courses.
Video Catalogs: The catalog lists all the films in the Collection,
with a brief description of each title.
Guide to Public Performance:
Outlines the rights already obtained by the JHVC and provides a
list of sources to contact in order to secure additional public
performance rights. Videotapes in the Collection may be lent for
home viewing and used in face-to-face teaching with an instructor,
as in a JHVC course (under the "classroom exemption" in
the copyright law). Any other kind of showing within or outside
an institution--for example, for publicity purposes or as entertainment--is
considered "public performance" and is prohibited without
prior written permission from rights holders.
