Key national funders for the JHVC have included the Righteous Persons Foundation, the Dorot Foundation, the Richard & Rhoda Goldman Fund, the Arnow Family Foundation, the Engelberg Foundation, and Alan Fortunoff. In addition, more than 175 local funders have contributed to the project's goal of bringing the JHVC to every Jewish community.

The Jewish Media Fund and the JHVC have been supported by funding from the Charles H. Revson Foundation, which has contributed more than $3 million to the development of the JHVC.
